I'm browsing around Audi's official site and being new to Audi's packaging, I can't help but wonder whether the 2009 A4 premium has the LED strip in front. NOT the premium plus with bi-xenon. The LED ribbon is a big factor concerning my potential purchase and I don't like retrofitting stuff.

 

Premium package does not come with the R8-inspired LED Daytime Running Light. (Only Premium Plus or Prestige package)

 

but does it still have the ribbon eyelids (non-LED)?

 

I am merely trying to justify the extra $3,000 MSRP for just the lights. Every other option I can do without:
17" ten-spoke wheels = I never keep OEM wheels (too heavy)
Bluetooth = Useless to me for now
Climate control = Useless
Heated front seats = California; need I say more?
Driver seat / Mirror memory = Useful but could do without
Driver info with Trip comp = useless
Trunk storage pkg = useless
Rain / Light sensor = have it on my Nissan Altima coupe = don't like it (if one keeps it in auto, the light will come on under bridges and other light-obstructing obstacles; I'm more of a hands-on kind of person)
Audi symphony = okay....
Audi iPod interface = I plan to get that for $290 MSRP anyway...
SIRIUS satellite radio = the dumbest invention... Radio's free...
Homelink garage opener = Useless...... For now.
Chrome trim = VERY V.I.P. = I like it a lot.
Auto dim mirrors with compass = useless

So... The conclusion would be: Am I better off buying OEM headlights from say... The stealership?

 

What is the cost of a pair of OEM headlights with the LEDs anyways?

 

THIS is what I want (I couldn't care about the LED, I just want the smile design ribbon in the headlight housing):It's from an 08 model and any help is appreciated!
