All you really are doing is giving the rings time to form/seal properly against the cylinder walls. Normal driving, even a little aggressive, will be just fine.

Ive been around serious engine builders for a while they all say it'll drive like it's broken in. It's true. An engine that was driven hard in the first 1k will have more power than one that was babied. Which will last longer? Too many factors to say.
