Looking at a 2011 A4 Avant in Misano Red at local BMW dealer. Inspecting car I noticed that underhood the inner fender and firewall paint is not the same gloss as the exterior. Is this correct as from the factory. Had a 2010 in silver and do not recall.

 

I don't recall seeing gloss black paint on any of three Audis I have owned. It's always been a matte finish, fortunately, otherwise I would be tempted to wax it.
