There is an Audi campaign for this issue. I had my 2010 A4 done at 56k miles. First step is for the dealer to do an "oil consumption test". Mine failed that miserably, burning a quart in about 1200 miles. So the replaced piston rings per the "next" step in the recommended fix policy. . That didn't help, so they replaced the Pistons. That finally did the job. Lucky for me I had 100k warranty and it didn't cost a dime other than frustration and lost time.
