I am considering to update my current 2009 audi a4's headlights from Halogens to LED. Halogens basically suck at night to me and the day time lights are even worse in my opinion. So i did some research and before i made my decision i called my audi dealership and basically asked them if i would be voiding my warranty and I was told to call back tomorrow. Would i be voiding my entire warranty?

So what are the best available options for me to replace my current headlights with some brand new LED ones? I would also like to know if it's just the matter of changing the headlights in order for the new LED headlights to work. I also want to change my Fog lights as well....

Example of what i'm looking for....

I am doing the same conversion right now.

What I have done so far and what I have learned thru searching these forums:

You obviously need new headlight housings.
You will also need:
LED ballasts
Xenon Balasts
Kufatec Wiring Harness
VAG-COM Adapter and PC Software <-- try to find someone who has this because it's $350

The wiring harness has an extra wire that is used to make the high beams work. This will need to be pinned into a harness under the dash.

Then you will need to update the code using the VAG-COM to accept the conversion.

And that's really about it, as I understand it. But I haven't made the conversion yet. Maybe someone else can chime in if I missed something.

It's my decision to do this in the first place and isn't your decision. Second search the thread and you'll find people that have done this already.
