Hello all,

I have a 2018 A4, 2 liter turbo. Little over 30K. Mechanic suggested buying new tires. The current, original ones are Pirelli. Outside (?). 245/40 R18 97H.

Looking at the current choices, I am at a loss. Would anybody care to suggest a particular brand/model? Moderate driving, occasional 1000mi trips.

I started with Pirellis on my 2003 A6 2.7T, but switched over to various versions of Continental Extreme Contact for all season driving. They are reasonably quiet, good in snow and rain, and not too expensive from Discount Tire. I run them on my 2011 A4 and my daughter runs them on her 2018 A4. I bought them for my wife's 2014 Lincoln. Michelin are ranked a little higher but I do not think they are worth the premium. I ended up with Michelins on my Maserati only because I could not find the proper staggered ODs in the Continental line.

If this is your first set of new tires, I also recommend an alignment at least this time.
