The 2013 R8 may look like the same vehicle, considering Audi didn't change the design all that much since the 2006 model, but taking a look at the engine, we see a very improved car.
The few aesthetic changes changes in the LED headlights, wider front air intakes. Along the back, the R8 will have a blacked out design that runs almost the full length of the rear.
The biggest improvements, however, lay beneath the hood. The 4.2L v8 will pack a whopping 450 hp, while the 5.2L v10 will outdo that with 550 hp. The car will also host a 7-speed double clutch transmission, similar to that of the Porsche 911.

To be honest, the changes are subtle looking at the pics in the link, but they add up to an overall look that I don't like as much as the current car. Maybe it's because the car is black and the accents stand out so sharply in contrast but judging by the few pics they showed, it's a step down in style in my opinion.

I think the car doesn't have as mean and aggressive of a look as it does now. It looks tamed down a bit.
