Bizarre- this week I get a package from Texas enclosing a T-Mobile hotspot and a pre-paid debit card for some portion of the connect fee I paid after my introductory service expired. Took me awhile to figure out what was going on but apparently after Feb 25, 2015 the 3g service I have in my 2013 Audi will be downgraded to 2g which may effect my Google navigation, WiFI connectivity and other functions.
Anyone else have more insight? I am wary that using the "free" hotspot and prepaid debit card is a waiver of any claim that may arise after the downgrade and it turns out Audi Connect won't work at all and the fix would mean replacing the entire head unit. Is this an attempt to fool us into accepting a cheap substitute in lieu of a real fix?
