Chevy Traverse
So I was going through my newest issue of Car and Driver, and what do I come across? A 4 page plus pull out section for the new Chevy Traverse. My first thought was that somebody better tell VAG that GM stole the a$$ off the Passat wagon!

The funny thing is, I got this photo off the Chevy Traverse forum! They already have a forum for this! And from what I read, people are foaming at the mouth for this thing!

Looks like the *** end of one of those Subaru B9 Tribecas to me, but then again the new Subaru Impreza looks like a Ford Fuckus and the new Honda Civic and Audi A4 *** ends look the same to me too, for shame.
Look at the interior, another GM copycat job. The way the gauge pods are set up, it looks very much like the Q7 and A6 interior. Well you know what they say... If you cant beat em', join em'.
I agree. We had a 2002 Eurovan, it had character. This new van is pathetic. Vw has a perfectly good van in europe that they could sell here. I dont know how they are gonna make the interior have vw quallity and an even bigger question... How do you buy a German anything with a 4.0L pushrod V6? What a joke!
I did just read a story in Car and Driver that said that Volkswagen is building a plant here because with the dollar being so weak, they are loosing money selling there cars here. So by building a factory here, some future models will be more price competitive. And last I looked, the Euro Van can get a little pricey for what you get. I saw a commercial last night for the new Dodgewagen (get it?) and they talk about the 'German' engineering. Whatever! Maybe they will put in a TDI or maybe a DSG?
Yeah, the Eurovan was pricey compared to its competition but it had the 24v VR6 and that sucker would pull, We used it to pull our 22 ft cruiser. I think that VR6 could be called the biggest little motor ever cause it was only 2.8l and all the other vans are ~3.5l +, and it could take corners better than most cars. We traded it in for a V8 touareg though because we moved up to a 25 footer and that was over the ev's ratings. It was expensive but I think as with MOST modern european cars... worth every penny! I doubt it will get any of VW's trick engineering stuff, if Dodge was smart they would have VW put the TDI in the Routan as well as the other variants of the "DodgewagEn" (nice). LOL, I cant wait till VW has one in the showroom. I work at a Vdub stealership so when one comes in, Il take it for a spin and let you know how "european" it really is.
Take care, Matt.

LOL, just noticed this... look at the typo on the torque figures on that traverse add in CD, lol. Also, I now work at a Cadilac, VW, Mazda dealer and I must say... GM has done it, well almost. That new 3.6 DI engine actually doesnt sound bad, almost like my car, and it makes alot of power... BUT and this is a big but, it burns oil big time. Everyone that has been run up and down the lot, no matter how its driven, warm or cold, has blue smoke rolling out of its pipes! What else could you expect from GM (the company who finds a half *** way to do everything) lol. All the new VWs that ive seen thus far are great! (no dodgewagen yet)
