Replacing an exhaust on a 5000 Quattro can be very expen$ive. New door handles can be found and not that expensive if DIY. It is a very common problem with the 4000 and 5000 models. Yea you can find a turbo kit all you need is a 5000 turbo, shouldn’t be all that difficult to find one at a local bone yard.

Overall the Audi 5000/100/200 models hold up very well. As for the problems you can do a search and find plenty of information.

What to look for;
1) cooling/heating/AC system plastic parts tend to leak
2) Central hydraulic system tends to leak at the pump
3) Shocks leak oil if still original
4) Suspension bushing
5) Brake proportioning valve is stuck frozen
6) Power windows don't work
7) Hall sensor in the distributor
8) Fuel tank lining is flaking off and clogging the fuel system
9) Fuel injector seals are leaking air
10 )etc.

Those cars are great, ive worked on one for a few years and its a great car, the turbo set up if you pick it up at a junk yard is going to run you around $100 so its not that bad.... but great car over all

I was able to find these parts without any problem. This is a great car and you will have minor problems as explain in the comments before mine. The most iritating thing I hated were the door handles even though it only took 20min. to change it out. The exhaust leak can come from around the motor also. These are project cars and once they are running even if it isn't perfect, you will still fall in love with them. Lead Never Follow.
