#1 looking at your picture you could have them the wrong way but I would need a picture of the engine with the distributor showing, from the way im seeing it they are wrongwas the distributor cap replaced?? the coil wire input looks rather dark like its burned which could be an issue

2 of the plug in the rotor cap are longer does that mean anything

 

could be that to tell you its number one plug some have this so you don't make a mistake with the leads
