Jumped the codes and came up with 2111 (engine speed sensor). Does anyone have a pic on the transmission where this sensor is?? Thanks much..

 

check the drivers side of the tranny ... possibly its mounted with 2 hex screws

2111 crankshaft position sensor check the wiring and if its secure

 

I don't understand, code 2112 is the crankshaft position sensor, can you explain?

 

sensor picks up the gears (ridges) on the fly wheel -> fly wheel is "connected" to the crank -> by mesuring the speed of the fly wheel the computer knows how to time the engine (fuel and spark)

at least I think so ...

 

easy, there is teath on flywheel. so ECM can tune to a precise degree when spark and fuel go in. ECM doesnt have its own internal clock, its a waste of procesing Hz.
This is one of the most important sensors, in the fully controled engine managment system.
