Default 1995 Cabriolet top problem

Hello once again. On my 1995 cabriolet, when I push the button to let the top down, the light flashes, but nothing happens. I can put the top down manually without a problem. Any I deas where i should start to troubleshoot. P.S. There is NO movement or sounds at all as if there is no power to the top.
Thanks to all

I have the exact same problem, with one slight difference: my roof light flashes for about 5 seconds when I start the car. The previous owner operated the roof manually for the 4 years he owned it.

I have read through posts here about cabriolets, and I am thinking we should start with the relay, and check all the wiring. Does anyone have any advice for us?

Thanks very much!

Did you get this fixed in the end? what was the problem??
I have got a problem with my roof where the back storage only raises less than half way and then gives up...
Any advice would be massively appreciated...
Cheers,
Mark
