Default 86 5KTQ QLCC chip install

I just picked up a 5ktq for a daily driver after turbocharging my Vdub. the car is rust free, has 118k miles, and runs very well. it needed a rack, pads and rotors all around, and a cv boot, which I have taken care of. The previous owner gave me a QLCC chip that he never installed, and I just picked up a 1.9bar wg spring. Question is, where in the ECU does the chip get soldered in, and is this something that I can do myself, or should I wait and have it done at a shop? I'm reasonably competant, did the turbo install myself on the Mk4 Jetta 2.0, and like to save cash, but don't wanna fry the ECU on the Audi.
