RE: Audi 80/90 manual tranny swap?

Worked on the car straight from 9:00 am thurs till almost 1:00am friday!!! Almost..done..so..close..

I'm wondering how to best get the clutch working with that line being off and empty. I've just let it gravity bleed plenty, pumping the pedal back and forth. I'm still getting no pressure on the pedal. I'll have someone help me bleed it properly later and see if we can get it working.

you can try the gravity but make sure that you dont pump.

edit: Battery could just be low and thats it! Charging now...

edit: Axles are fine. They were binding up in the hubs the first time but I re-did and everything turns smooth now.

:)

Battery was bad. New battery AND SHE STARTED!!!
but would only run for 2 seconds and then die. Did that twice. Now you turn the key and nothing happens. Enough for tonight, but its so so close. Could I have just blown an ignition/starter fuse? I wonder if the different starter motor could stress the electrical system differently.

At least it wasn't a problem with my park sensor fooling, I think. I got the clutch bled too feels great that should work fine.

Hmmm I feel in a hopeless position at the moment don't quite know what to do next right now...
Started twice for a sec and died, now won't turn over. New charged battery. If I had a point in the electrical system to start at the root of what alows the motor to start...

cant see a problem really ( none of the electronics will wire up ) no starter inhibitor because no wires required, did you change the fly wheel because the auto is not compatible and you might as well change the rear crank seal while its apart;)

When my battery was just low the starter would click but not turn over. I don't believe the starter clicks now, other electronics making a sound when you turn the key though.

Of course the manual flywheel was put on with everything else. No its not apart now, crank seal is fine.

This is from the factory repair manual, for my '88 90 4 cyl auto trans wiring:

Where's that connector? (pin 34, motronic control unit) Where's the "auto trans wiring harness"? I know there's the auto trans relay in the fuse box. Maybe pulling some stuff and connecting that pin 34 to ground will do it for me.

try a pull or push start and popping the clutch.
