I love it! You make all this argument why synthetic motor oil is better and then you fill your Audi with 89 regular! [:'(]

I had a customer once that complaining about poor gas mileage, I checked out his car and couldn't find anything wrong. His Dodge Challenger had the same 2.6 as my Mitsubishi Montero. I told him to switch brands, he told me that he was always filling from the same station, a very well known brand. After he switched he went from 15 to 22mpg.

ye, I try to do that too. but the problem is that the car is not heating up fast enough. its running cold mostly. after about 10min of driving I see that the temp closing on 80-85C. but ye I usually put 93octanem but now I use 89 octane couse engine does not reach the temp while I'm driving thats about 40 min. well it actualy does come the the normal temp, but I didnot heard any ditanation, untill I fueled at shell.
At shell I fueled ones, and I never come there any more, I used same 89 but engine felet like regular, diatnation on normal heat, it did heat up fast enough, the way I like it, but driving expirience did not leave me any impresion.
I fuled at Amco, but when I drove on High way Cel came out saying something about EGR.
I fule at Mobil couse 89 octane feels okey and no ditanation until fans on and car has 5 people craped in and going uphill.

I do fuel 93 octane but the millage stays the same.
My car has 188K miles on the clock, I do not know how tranny has to behave, but the tranny does not search for gears, switches soft on normal mode and a bit harsh on sport mode.
The tranny shifts at 1800-2500 RPM
and on highway I keep the 3rd gear untill I heat like 50MPH then I head the 4 gear and the TQ locks up. so its like 3000RPM on 3 rd gear till I switch then its like 2000RPM or even less.
I will change the tranny oil to full syntatic, I believe I found were I can buy Royal Purple. I will make a cute picture of the oil in tranny and I will try to determin if its bad.
What are the good gassoline companies?

Sounds like your trany might be OK but you might want to check the ignition to make sure that the knock sensor works. Otherwise you might not be fully advancing loosing power and fuel economy. If the ignition is OK, try using cooler range spark plugs. If you have too much carbon buildup this will also rob you of power. Carbon buildup can cause increased compression and hot spots that will cause detonation triggering the knock sensor and retarding the spark timing.

ye you right, do you know the ignition values for the car, I will plug a device that will tell me what is the degree of ignition. so if you have then I will have a base to go on. and ye you right I do need to check the knock sensors.

Tnanks for the ideas, I will follow them.

It's not that simple! Free running and maximum load are two different things.
