I'm new here. Got into Audi's for just a few years ago. Started with my girlfriends 1998 A6 back in '04. I remember thinking.. "What a great car". Solid, smooth, very sharp. She got rid of it but we replaced it in '08 with '04 A8L. Wow! I just thought... "man this can't get any better". It did... she married me!! Must be the car. The 8 is just amazing. It has been really flawless with 132K miles on it to date.

So then our son gets bit... an '01 S4 sedan, auto. Nogaro Blue. What a rocket. Kept it a year and sold it. Bought a Red, 6-sp S4 Avant. Cool car out of Denver. Puts the auto to shame. Still has that one. Beautiful car.

A year and a half ago, I spotted an '83 Ur quattro sitting in a guys yard. Dirty, grungy, leaves everywhere. Been sitting for 9 years. Bugged him a little about it off and on for about 10 months. One day a few months later, I get a call. Times had turned bad and the Ur had to go. So I bought it. Took it home and just started tinkering, washing, cleaning... learning. Got it running about 2 months ago. BIG GRINS. Can't get the power mirrors working and the A/C needs converted, but everything else still works!!! Had it on the highway the other day... cruise still works!!! Just too much fun.
