Is there any way that an AWD or RWD conversion can be done to an 87 coupe gt? if so what could i use in terms of motors and drive trains? thanks.

 

unless you can custom build a car you can forget about it .... but you could use the same motor that you have and the drivetrain from a 4kq or a 90q .... or better yet find yoursef a 92' coupe

you can basically use all parts, like from an 90 or same coupe, basically drive shaft and maybe half shafts will be needed to be made custum. engine is swapable, so is the tranny. but I would not recomend converting an FWD into AWD, unless you have the rear end for that car, you can always chop and fit, but thats a lot of work.

if you can get like coupe GT as a donor AWD cheap, that would be nice, then you can make a better car out of them both.

no, they where renamed, Ur-Quatro I belive.
you can get like audi 5000 or 4000 that probably would fit.
you need to check rear welbase to be sure.

 

urQ's are $$$ if you can eaven find one , but audi did make quattro coupes 90-95 that were Q 5cyl 20v non turbo ... gust get one of them ... salp aturbo on it and you'll be as happy as can be

 

the coupe GT is fwd and you want awd or rwd so yeah a diffirent drivetrain is a must
