Why bother? Just spend the money for new engine, and fitting on mods. Should get you way over the 2.0T spec.

yea but i bought my car with a blown engine and im still debating wether or not to buy a new one or rebuild im kinda leanin toward rebuildin so i can put stronger parts in it but it would be nice to start off with 200hp stock instead of 150

yea anything is possible. The thing is the 2.0T may never see what the 1.8T is making hevily moded. I would do the revo turbo upgrade on a 1.8T. I dont think ull see that power from a 2.0T for awhile. the thing with the 2.0T is i believe the manifold and turbo are one piece making it harder to just swap out the turbo.

2.0T has a massive compression ratio and is kinda resistant to heavy modding so far. If you want a two-liter, bore your 1.8T. It's basically indestructible except for the rods. It will not be cost-effective to drop in a 2.0 vs a new or built 1.8T, unless you aren't going to mod either of them and want something out of the ordiinary.
