So I recently picked this up from a salvage here in my area and an really curious about why the tag on the door sill has an individuals name rather than a company or a dealer? I am also wondering exactly what it is my understanding is that it is a "type 85 coupe quattro".

 

Nice find. It probably didn't come in via a dealer which could be why it has that particular tag on it. Someone brought it in personally. The surname tells me it very well could have been a wealthy Saudi that could afford to do so back in the day. I'd love to find one of those 2 door Quattros as most of the ones I've seen here in the US are the front wheel drive flavored ones. I want the Quattro one.
