Hi, i have aproblem with my 2001 a6 2.7 quattro it does not start in the morning or when left for a longer period of time, it cranks but not starts so i have to open the maf and spray carb cleaner in there to start it up, after that it will start all day long with no issues, check engine light comes on for coolant temp sensor and bank 1 oxygen as a intermitent fault. PLease help!!!

 

Hello Crash, i have a simular issue although i have not sprayed in the maf - dont know where it is - is it located on the left (passenger side) near the firewall, and did you take the clamp off and spray there ?... I have just bought a new fuel pressure regulator havent replaced it yet and I have a new speed control sensor on order. do you know what your codes were, I have a P1544 manf cntrl veh spd. hoping the two items that I just purchased will solve the no start issues. also the following link even though it was for an A4 really helped check it out if you like:

I have a 04 Audi A6 2.7 that is not starting i don't know if it's the gps because my car was recently repoed i have it back now it's not starting and it was starting just fine until it got repoed PLEASE can someone help me with this issue?

 

I also, am having the same problem. I just spent 300$ on just the tune-up which is the, spark plugs and coil caps. I just did this and it wont start like earlier today. Before i had not done a tuneup since i purchased the vehicle, i recently changed the oil and oil filter. It was working fine until, one morning the car wont start. So i pump the gas peddle and it turns on. So i ignore it for a whole week. Now i have a car that wont start after i have already done the tuneup on it. It is a audi 2003 a6 3.0 4d sdn. It turns over (trying to start) but nothing seems to happen. I do smell a odor of gas coming from the back of the vehicle (muffler). Can it be the gas pump that needs to be replaced or what are the reasons why it wont start? Help?
