Default 2011 S5 Failures

I have a 2011 S5 I took possession of in OCT. 2010.

I have in the last 3 months watched my car sit in the dealership for about 35 days. While driving in dynamic mode at speeds roughly 30-40MPH I get a series of failure lights that turn on. I'm getting a Sport differential failure, traction control failure, parking brake failure, and TPMS failure.

All the lights come on at the same time and stay on. None of the actual items are failing though. The traction still holds, the parking brake still works and everything else is working as intended, just the warning lights are turning on.

Has anyone else had anything like this happen or any of these computer failures while the items still continued to work?

If this is in the wrong forum I apologize.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you have a faulty ECU. The factory warranty should cover this. What was the dealer recommendation? Did they give you problems?

So far they have had the car about 35 days and cannot pinpoint the problem. They replaced the mass airflow and replaced the fuel pump. Everytime they do something it has initial positive results but soon after shows errors. It looks like we are starting paperwork to get them to take return of the car and buy it back from me. I just was curious if this was an anomaly or if this had ever happened to anyone else. It has made me think about reconsidering my choice in the next car.

After having the car for about 42 days they finally got it up and working again. They replaced the Ecu, (2) mass air flows and all of the sensors that were lighting up. The papers that show the tests done look like War and Peace they are do thick.

I have had the car back for a while now and so far so good. I haven't heard of anyone else with this problem so I'm guessing it was just bad luck. If something changes I'll post again.

Take care
