APR vs Neuspeed vs Other
Looking over my options for chip/flash tuning. From what I have gathered the 2 front runners are APR and Neuspeed for these upgrades. I am looking for feedback from those who have implimented either option. HP/TQ numbers, Streetablity, Gas Mileage, Personal Notes. Also if anyone is running on stock turbo's or upgrades ones with these programs. I am interested in 2000-2001 1.8t specifically. Just fishing for as much info as I can get my hands on. Any info will help guys. Thanks.
on most 1.8T chips, for stock turbo's all the chips/flashes fall within the same range. APR/Neuspeed/GIAC/REVO/Dahlback/OC.T/Unitronics/etc. etc.
but as for BT tunes, your best bet is Unitronics. they have spec. injector files for tunes.

i drive a 2003 A6 2.7T with the APR software. I really like it. It fits my driving style. GIAC is also nice, but its more agressive than I need. APR is nice and smooth. it runs like rather calm(a bit more power than stock) when youre in a daily commute or trudging thru traffic or gettin some stop light action on city streets. it delivers when you push it though, so its great. i mainly do 90% highway driving and I get 22mpg with my car. I drive it in tiptronic(for some reason that gets me the best mpg) id recomend APR, personally. My car also has a 2.5 inch turbo back exhaust, no precats-just 3 inch collectors, my OEM cats with relocated O2 sensors, no resonators and magnaflow race series mufflers that are straight thru design and only about 8 inches long. The car also has a K&N intake filter in it.
