Low-Jack / GPS
Ok so Iam thinking aboutpurchasing a used 2008 A320T and the dealer was unable to help me with my question. How can i figure out if the car has a low-jack system or a gps tracker built in? Does it come standard or should i try to ask the previous owner? I was really hoping for this safety feature because this vehicle won't be cheap.

RE: Low-Jack / GPS
Just remember, LoJack is localized. The police need to have the tracking equipment, they need to be within a certain distance of the car, and LoJack is usually installed in a standard "random location", so is easily removed by professional thieves. It is NOT GPS, and if the car is taken out of the county with LoJack equipped police and into a county without it, your car is lost.
You can scan for a frequency once LoJack has been initiated.
I got all that from Wikipedia, it is what LoJack doesn't tell you.
The benefits of it being RF and not GPS (though ideally it would be both...) is that it penetrates buildings...
On GPS tracking, weak points on it are not penetrating buildings (chop shops), but it is nation wide.
As far as telling if those are there, I haven't done much research, there is a practically zero theft rate in my area and where I travel...
