Default E 85 truths for those who are curious

I have been reading posts on e85 and it is frustrating to see the ignorance of people on ethanol fuels.

STOP with the corrosion factor, they fixed the corrosion issues back in the 70s when ethanol fuels were first introduced, thats right in the 70s. ethanol fuel is not a new concept. more important, is fuel milage, first if you live in a major city, or live within 10 miles of work, dont waste your time, however, I live 75 miles from work, i drive 150 miles a day, do the math, i use a lot of fuel. I still save money every week that i run e85, because the cost of fuel is so much cheaper, I have lost fuel milage, dont get me wrong. But when 87 gas is 3.54 and e85 is 2.74. 2.74 is a better price. In my stock 2.8qm, i got about a 5 mpg decrease in fuel milage. A little more about e85 is that it cleans, so when you first start using it you may have to change your fuel filter a time or two. Your fuel pump will be cleaner, line, all the way to the combustion chamber in the engine. Your engine does require more ethanol fuel than gasoline, it is because of the way ethanol fuel burns. If you want to burn ethanol more efficiently larger injectors would be ideal, you can also get conversion kits, that help your engine control module identify the fuel, and respond accordingly for injector pulse width, and the ignition system, I am trying to keep things lamen terms, as i know some people who read this may not be technicians. These are just a few basics i see missed all the time regarding ethanol fuels,

If you drive far daily, you can see benefits, if u live in new york city, then no, dont waste your time, or hard earned money on e85.
