Default Fuel injection cleaner

Is one Fuel injection cleaner better than another? I just read about SEA FOAM but it sounds sketchy. Has anyone used it with success?

I am and have been a huge fan of a product made by a company called BG. It's called 44k and it is a bit expensive but WORKS and is safe for ALL fuel systems. i have pulled many of my engines down and never seen any notable deposits after using 44k. do some research on it and become a believer too! It does cost between 18-25 bucks a can but its soooo worth it.

It say's that it contains additives. I have been told to stay away from additives in the Audi. Also I could not fined a video on the net about how to get it into your fuel system. Are the additives in it not really that bad?..... How do you use it?..... Just mix right into the gas?

I also give a thumbs up to 44K and anything BG makes. Use a combination of BG fuel system cleaner (new product) in tank one and empty that tank. When you fill up again put the 44k into the gas tank and enjoy.

VW/Audi has at least 2 gasoline additives available that I'm aware of. One version is an inexpensive maintenance dose that's been around for years...good stuff to use on a regular basis. The other is relatively new and a bit more expensive...we've been using it in concentration on newer FSIs to help "cure" vehicles w/prolonged fuel quality issues.

I've used both in my Volvo and A6 and it does what it's supposed to...I'll post up the part#s & MSRPs when I get to work tomorrow(...unless someone beats me 2 it).

OK, here's the info on the OE gasoline additives I was refering to:

VW/Audi part#: ZVW239003 - 192ml bottle, "Continuous-use formula for Prevention of Carbon Deposit Accumulation" - MSRP $4.25/bottle

and

VW/Audi part#: G001770A2 - 90ML can w/spout, treats 45-75L of gasoline, intended for intensive cleaning, can be used in quantity for larger tanks - MSRP $8.00/can

Those off the shelf f/i cleaners dont do a very good job. The best one to get is the one that a shop will charge app. $80 for.its a 3 step process that will really do the job properly.

We use the BG products. They actually make products that dealerships carry. We use their cleaning service on 2.0T FSI vehicles for the carbon problems they have.
