fuel pump replacement

fuel pump replacement
at 173k miles, my fuel pump died on Monday morning. i located a bargain pump assembly on ebay for 130$ shipped. i didn't even price it at the stealership as they wanted 110$ for a transmission filter i needed before doing a valve body swap, which, btw, cured my tiptronic shifting woes. Thanks to REVMAX for the updated valve body.
only problem was it has a pre 2003 sending unit so the fuel gauge read the opposite of what it should have read.it seems that in mid 2002, audi changed the way the gauge read the resistance from a falling value as fuel level drops to a rising value. i read about it in the Bentley manual, but didn't think to check it before installing it.
Yesterday, i drained 6 gal. out of the tank and removed the assembly and swapped out the sending units and reassembled.
All is good again.
Hope this bit of info is helpful to someone.

I have replaced the Fuel pump, fuel pressure switch, and fuel pressure sensor. These are the issues or what the codes were pointing to- low fuel Pressure. I am super tired of this problem. Audi Dealers just want to take your money. I took in my car for some updates and it came back with another issue. I am now afraid to take it back. Any suggestions?
