Default Fuel regulator

What fuel regulator should be used on a 1.8t with the K04 upgrade. Factory is 4 bar. Thoughts? And... According to Shop Key, the ATW engine code has the bigger TT sized injectors already on it so injector upgrade is not necessary. It says the AEB has smaller injectors. Curious. Wonder why they did that.

I actually had questions on this as well. The Neuspeed site recommends a 5bar fuel pressure regulator if your going to get their 1bar chip (96-99 1.8T). They also recommend new spark plugs...are these good ideas or are they just blowin wind up our asses?

I don't know about the fuel regulator, but every turbo kit I have seen either includes new spark plugs or upgrades the injectors and recommends a spark plug upgrade.

In the SR20DET community it is pretty common to raise the fuel pressure form 3-bar to 4-bar. This, along with a ECU reprogram allowed the original injectors to spray as much fuel as a bigger injector. IIRC, flow rate would be bumped up from 370cc to close to 400cc. So I dont see why it wouldnt work.

The fuel pressure depends on what chip you have and it is very important that you run the proper fuel pressure. I have 2 giac chips, one requires 310cc injectors at 3 bar ans th eonly requires the stock fuel injectors at 5bar, so I just bought an adjustable fpr. So basically ask your software manufacturer whjat fuel pressure to run.
