Sorry to hear that man! It's kind of strange, but some Audi's are more reliable than others. Knowing what I know now, the next Audi I buy will be thoroughly checked out before being purchased. What year is your Audi? I would post this in one of the specific Audi A4 forums, ie B5, B6, B7 etc. to get help. Not sure how many people on here frequent the Computer & Fuel systems section. I don't know anything about working on cars, but I've had my 2000 A4 1.8TQM for about 3 years and the work I've done has mainly been maintenance, ie brakes, timing belt/ water pump, vacuum tubes, O2 & MAF sensors. My advice to you would be to find a small shop in your area that REALLY knows Audis. When I first bought mine, I took it to the dealership and paid over $2000 to have some leaky tubes, the water pump, and a speaker replaced. Probably could have had it done for less than half that price if I had taken it to the shop I take it to now. Best of luck!

Fix the car and sell it..i know a audi mechanic who haaaates audi's and he says the only cars that are reliable are the 06 and newer cars get your self a b7 or b8 and be done with it..too many electrical problems...every car is different unfortunatly with german cars some last 40k some last 140k its a crap shoot sometimes

The fuel pump is humming because you need a new fuel filter. Relatively easy and cheap to fix. The cost of NOT fixing it will be a new fuel pump; then you will really hate your car.
The window issue is more labor intensive to fix, but the window guides are very inexpensive. Do you do your own work or do you get rape at the dealership with their $130/hour rate? Your answer to that will dictate if you keep your car or not.
The timing belt is a must-do maintenance, and usually the buying price of an Audi will depends on whether this has been done or not, but you did not specify the year and mileage of your 1.8T.
