Default a little chip help

i got a 2001 a4 and the previos owner had a GIAC chip in it. i was wondering if i should ditch this chip and go for an apr chip or stay with the one i already have. any advice is appreciated.

I'd say since you already have it, it's up to you. You could keep it.

I, for one, like the ability to switch programs with the cruise control stalk. If I'm not mistaken, the GIAC ones, you need the hand-held switcher thingy.

If I were you, save the money since you already have it. People go back and forth about which is better, blah blah blah. Unless you want to spend the $400 (or more, depending on how many programs you want) needed to switch it to APR. I could think of many other things to spend $400+ on.
