Getting ready to buy my first Audi, probable a A8 but confused over the navigation system. I'm looking at 04's through 06's and understand, the 04 had Onstar (now owned by GM) and the 05 and 06 had other??system. Now I hear the 07's again have OnStar. What is the scoop here and the pros and cons of the 2 systems ?? Thanks, a confused but wanted to buy audi guy!!

 

as a brand new '07 A3 owner I strongly recommend against a NAV without touch screen, it's a PITA. I assume your car would have the same system as the A3. Look into aftermarket, the rotary dial thingy is just not worth it...or maybe this is my NY lack of patience coming ou.t...
