OBD II not connecting to smog computer
So I got a free 99 audi a4 1.8t. It failed smog today when he tried to astablish a connectio to the OBD II system, the stereo was blown out when the previous owner tried to jump the car with the cables backwards could this also have damaged the OBD II system? I'm not familier with OBD II my e30 is OBD I

update
We hooked up the scan tool and it worked fine with no codes.
but when he hooked up the smog apparatus it had no communication with the OBD. he said it might be a relay
P.S. i got the radio working, it was the fuse on the back of the head unit itself.
