Default open source tuning

After doing a little searching and not really finding any answers I thought I should ask.

Im currently looking for a way of doing tuning on a friends 01' S4 with the stock ecu.

I dont want some pre-programmed chip, im looking for a program (free or not) that I can use to custom map the ecu for new settings.

Thanks and hope for some good feedback.
