Do NOT use this dealership - sales process good service horrendous:

Service 1 - no issues - gave good review

Service 2 - got car back - got call - gave good review - 1 day later the coolant hoses come undone and car goes redline. Am told by Prestige this is in no way due to anything they've touched. Had to have roof adjusted (light wouldnt' go out when top down). I complained - seems coincidental after service that this would occur - they insist that when servicing the vehicle they never have a reason to touch the coolant hoses.

1 month after service 2 - windows won't close as top switch plate (claimed replaced)no longer works- rains - car gets wet - needs new computer as humidity enters computer and kills it.

Service 3 - Car returned with no oil dipstick - I complain - they claim I must have taken it out (I never service my own car and they are the only ones who ever touched it.) Car is never on street with top down... Light on right side hanging loose - they complain about repariing but do fix it.

Service 4 - Had all wheels buffed out - return to get car because they say its ready - but one wheel not done. Service rep tells me to bring it back in a week and they will get to it - return it and they claim all 4 wheels were done and these are new scratches - do not honor original work - I complain to audi. Car returned missing one wheel cap - they claim it must have been stolen before I brought it in - I ask why it wasn't marked down on the review - they claim service rep must have missed it.

Called Audi to complain - their response: We don't deal with "workmanship" issues - certification means ONLY that the dealer sent some staff to their training - doesn't even mean all staff! Certification is basically worthless.

Service 5 - small fender bender punctures the freon ... they claim must reinstalll AC - get it back and AC makes loud noise when running from under the passenger side - I take it back 1 month later (I travel for a living) - and am told because I didn't mention it within a week of service that it must be new. Won't honor repair work - I leave upset.

Service 6 - Take car in to have oil change - am told that all fluids must be changed at a cost of 658 dollars and that car had complete checkup - all was good. Told I'd soon need 4 new brakes.

Service 7 - 1 MONTH later... take car to different dealership as I am worried about workmanship - represents an hour drive to dealership. Here is what I'm told:

Axle on right front wheel broken, Switch plate never replaced - just bent to make switch work, fluids do not appear replaced as they look too aged, needs new rear brakes (front are good and in no way need replacing), new water pumps needed, new cooling fan needed, etc. 4000 in repairs required.

Things you should know about me: This car is at my weekend house and is only driven 1-2 days a week aroudn the city. Never had accident outside of 1 fender bender which punctured the freon. Car has only 40k on it. I do not race - drive hard - or otherwise abuse the vehicle.

Two conclusions possible:

Either Audi has really cheap workmanship that a car with under 42k requires such major repair work

OR - Prestige Audie did none or little of the work for which I was charged.

If the latter, you have no recourse but after every service to take the car to anothe rmechanic to ensure the work was done... otherwise you cannot be sure that the work was completed at this dealership to any standard. if the Former - you shouldn't buy an Audi - lease for 3 years only as the car must be gone off your driveway immediately upon lease end or you will pay for it.

In any event - if its the dealer - they've given the car a bad name and I cannot possibly see buying another Audi. If its the car - I can't possibly justify buing another Audi. National customer service is a sham - with no recourse.

Its experiences like this that cause us "non-mechanics" to have zero trust in dealerships in general. There is no way someone like me can know whether or not work spec'd is done - or to what quality level. Also - to those who say "why did you keep bringing it back to the same dealer" - this is the dealer closest to me - other dealers represent over an hour drive and would not supply a replacement vehicle - being single I needed a dealer from which i could taxi to from the airport after drop off... this was the only one that made sense.

Basically according to dealer 2 - I will now have a practically new Audi. New coolant system, all new fluids, new brakes, new switch plate, new axle, and yes - I got the performance chip installed (always wanted it but was afraid to get it prior to warranty expiry.) In any event - I'm sick to my stomach that a car with under 40k miles, nicely driven - with every service done as prescribed could possibly have this level of problems. My last car was an Acura - which I drove for 70k miles with never an issue - one brake pad replacement - and of course - regular service - but never any issues like water pumps, windows, axle breakage, window motor issues, AC issues - during service nothing ever went missing...
