Good afternoon, I am writing to get some information on my car. 2009 Audi A3 2.0t...I was driving and got a few CEL codes. Mainly multiple misfire, along with P0171, P0507, P2279....I was waiting for my PCV valve to come in the mail but kept driving the car as it idled and ran fine. Installed the New PCV valve and it idled rough with the new one. I installed the old one and idle was smooth again. I was told the PCV causes the Rear Main Seal to go bad. I can also smell oil now. Before there was no oil smell. So need a place to do RMS....looking for mechanic in the Orange County Ca area.
