Default 3M Headlight Restoration

Has anybody used this product? It looks like it really works well, but I want to try to find a place locally to purchase it.

Amazon has pretty good prices on it...

Let me know what you think.

I bought something similar to restore my headlights. It does a good job on the outside, but I need to get inside one of my headlights to clean it out. I took the headlight assembly out of the car, but I cannot find a way inside without breaking the tabs that hold the housing together. Does anyone know where to get a tool I need to safely take the light apart?

I may have to check the 3M product out. Used turtle wax's kit and it didn't do much. I used meguiar's step one cleaner on them and it did a pretty good job.

I just used the 3m headlight restoration kit as well last weekend. I couldn't believe my eyes, they look like they are brand new! If you follow the instructions closely you get great results.
My left headlight took me like 4 hours with breaks because it was in really bad shape. The most important part is the first p500 pad, use it until everything is really like on the pictures of the instructions, the rest is a peace of cake. My 2nd headlight only took like 20 minutes.

I recommend this to everyone who's headlights have some bad scratches and/or are yellow.

I do this procedure a few times a month (at work). I have a much more advanced version of the kit though. Comes with a air sander and air polisher both 3" then 4 kinds of sand paper 500, 800, 1500, 3000 then a buffing compound and then a polish. I've turned plenty of headlights new again.

I've used abrasive toothpaste. Wipe it on with a damp cloth, let it dry, then buff.
Good results, but needs to be done a few times.

I skipped the kits completely, and went with 1000 grit wet sanding, 1500 grit wet sand, then 2000 grit wet sand, 3m rubbing compound, then polished with Meguiars Plastx. The headlight literally looks brand new. I can compare it to the brand new left headlight because I recently had to replace that one, which caused the right headlight to become an eye sore, hence the restore.
