Question Engine: cleaning and detailing

What up gentlemanss... well im kind of new with the audi car and so with how the whole thing works, i would like to know how do i take care of my baby engine bay without making any damaged to it. ] What products should i use to degrease, clean and detail it, also what parts i have to avoid getting wet.... if u have any pics would be awesome..

you can use any engine degreaser. Just read the label some degreasers can destroy aluminum. Spray it on and let it sit for about a minute. the rinse it off with a hose just be careful around the electronics. I use a toothbrush to get into the small parts but I'm very picky. Then when the engine bay is wet hit it with a dressing and wipe it down, if you don't wipe off excess it will get greasy looking.

this doesn't help to much because of the covers but there is not grease or oil on mine.

That's one clean looking engine bay! Great job!

Do you use any spray on for the plastic covers?

Yea I use a plastic and vinyl dressing I spray it on then wipe it off after it dries or it gets greasy then ALL the dirt and grime stick to it. I'll try to take some shot with the covers off so you can see the other parts.

yea you can take the covers off to clean the engine thats what I do. Just BE CAREFUL around the electronics coil packs specifically.
