Need some help - Touch up paint isn't pretty.
Hey all,
An automated car wash failed on me and scratched up the rear bumper of my 2007 A4. I ordered the silver OEM basecoat paint and simply covered up the scratches as well as I could to somewhat conceal the damage.
The touch up isn't horrible, but it truly isn't pretty. I've attached a pic of my handy work and I would be greatly appreciate of anyone that may have suggestions on how I can get the paint to better blend with the rest of the car.
I'd rather not have to take it to a body shop.
Thanks!
Mike

You're sort of stuck here. I'd recommend taking it to a body shop and getting the area touched up and blended professionally. It's really tough to get touch up paint to come out to a spot on color match to the original paint.
