Default Newbie painting question

The front end of my 2000 A4 is super chipped. I think the woman who owned it before me (big mistake buying a chick's car) drove behind gravel trucks or something. Its Santorin Blue Pearl and I was wondering what my options are. Can I get just the hood/bumper sprayed? Can they match the color well enough? Should I just get the whole thing painted? I need a seasoned veteran's opinion and guidance. Thanks.

I appreciate the help. I think I'm going to go ahead and get the whole thing painted because I just noticed some really nasty scratches in the rear bumper and both rear doors.

keep in mind repainting a car actually LOWERS its value when u go to sell it. It certainly won't pay for it self when it comes time to sell.
Why is that?? You'd think it would be better due to it having a new coat of paint on it.

Yeah but that means to a potential buyer there was some need to repaint it...like an accident or some type of water or fire damage. Also, they don't know if the repaint job is of as high of quality as the factory paint.
any smart buyer would get a carfax

I have the same tiny chips all over the front bumper of my recently-purchased 2001 TT Roadster (big mistake buying a car previously driven by a guy!) Not all the way up to the hood, thank goodness. The paint is amulet red, the chipped places appear rather bluish. Would you give the same advice - repaint the bumper?

I have had rock chipped parts of my car painted a few times and it always turned out great. paint always matched up. if you go to a good shop they should be able to take care of you for sure.
