Default 2004 A6 Rear Door Speakers

The right rear door speaker must have blown out in my car. With certain sounds (usually more bass) the speaker emits a loose marble sound. I looked at Crutchfield for replacement speakers but all of the speakers they have say they are not compatible with my vehicle. Does anyone know what size they are and where I can get replacements?

Thanks

Is the rear door a 2 way speaker system? my 96 has a 5" woofer mounted low and a about a 1-2" tweeter located higher in the door. If your hear the marbles in just one of them then it is most likley that speaker. if it is from both then it may be the amp located in the door. If you have to replace one of the speakers, you should take off the door panel then measure the diameter of the speaker/mounting frame and make note of the speakers impedance (it should be stamped on the back of the magnet). You then should have a easier time matching it up to a aftermarket unit. If its the amp, well that is real specific to audi and it may require a trip to the salvage yard.

The best shot would be to stop by advancedauto shop at your local place, and ask them with specifics. Then get the info and search on the net. Kind of tricky but this will save you $$, if it's what you're looking for.
