2011 A6 facelift 3g MMI hi to 3g + MMI retrofit

Hi - was wondering if anyone has retrofitted a MMI 3g + into a Audi A6 facelift which I believe has the 3g hi. I have looked at several forums where this has been done on A4, A5, S5. My MMI seems to be in the glove box. Wondering if this is possible.
