Default A3 hazard/indicator switch

2003 A3 hazard/indicator relay. I need to replace it. OK, I know where it is. I've removed the bezel and get get the three switches to the right out, but I can only get the red triangle light cover off. The thing itself seemed utterly fixed and I'm afraid of busting something if I jemmy it out? (Also, the book says I should disconnect the neg battery lead first? Doesn't that kill the radio etc?) HELP

the switch on the dash? its held in by clips (the face plate does come off comparatively easily)

so the switch is held in by some clips on the side. you need a small pick or screw driver to wedge in there and depress one side. the switch comes out fairly easy once you do this.

do a google image search for a little more guidance as to what it actually looks like. good luck!
