Default adding an amp/sub to Bose system / audi navigation plus unit?

As title, what would be the simplest method of adding an amp and sub to the standard Bose / navigation plus setup?

I am going to assume you have a B6 A4, as you haven't specified and I like making things up lol, you can get the amp turn on lead and low-level speaker signal right off the wire harness attached to the Bose amplifier in your trunk on the right side behind the paneling.

Search around here you can find the wire diagram. If not, let me know and I think I have one saved for such occasions. I think there may even be a tutorial/writeup of exactly what you are describing. I'll poke around after I get out of work.

I'm not sure where the Bose amplifier would be, but a good bet is in the trunk area somewhere, see if you can find any vents in the interior of the back, get a flashlight and poke around, or pop the vent off, they really are just snap ins.

If you can find a little black box about 2-3" tall by 4-5" wide by 8-10" long, you found your amp. This is all going from memory guesstimates of my 03 A4, it could be different. I would search for wiremaps, it *could* very well be the same as the A4, but personally I wouldn't chance it, I'd try to find a specific A3 writeup. I'll keep my eyes open, see what I can find for you.

call your local parts dept. They should be able to give you the full wiring schematic. They faxed me a diagram to my TT.
