Aftermarket Alarm? (B5s)

Aftermarket Alarm? (B5s)
I've been happy with the OEM alarm system since I've had the car. Recently, IASCA (car audio competition organization) added alarm systems with battery backup to the rules/points. I've been looking into Compustar www.compustar.com - but want to hear from those that have succuessfully integrated an aftermarket alarm.
Does anyone have a B5 wiring diagram I can look at?
What alarm system did you use? How difficult was the installation?
Are there any tips/tricks you can share with me?
I've searched this forum and found some disturbing posts about compatibility issues, and want to make sure I get it right....
THANKS!
Matt
