Default Aftermarket warranty for 2008 S6

I realize this is a matter of opinion but an nonetheless interested in opinions. I recently purchased a pretty immaculate 2008 S6 with 62k. Former CPO car (only transfers on private sale, I bought from a dealer). Pristine service history, etc. The Fidelity warranty option had 5 levels of coverage. I opted for the second level (Fifth level being most complete), for 3 years of coverage for $3,500. I have 2 more weeks to cancel if I wish and am considering canceling. It basically covers driveline and parts of other systems.

Assumptions:
1. Many things will likely go wrong that WILL NOT be covered by this warranty
2. The probability that the problem I might have IS covered is low

Clearly I am guaranteed to spend $3,500 if I pay upfront. I am considering rolling the dice and applying the $3,500 towards repair if and when necessary.

Appreciate thoughts/options.
Best,
John

Check with the dealer (assuming you got the car from an Audi dealer) or go to the local dealership speak with the finance person and see if you can extend the factory warranty. I bought a newer (used) car and was able to extend the factory warranty. May cost you quite a bit more depending on the mileage on the vehicle but it's a much better warranty with a $100 deductible.
