Alarm goes off at all time
Hey all
2000 A4 1.8T my car alarm always going off for no particular reason, sometimes I'll standing next to the car & the alarm went off beeping & the lights start flashing & then just stop. Ex the wind blew by the car & it went off, other car pass by & the alarm went off or just randomly the car just start to beep, but now I,m getting tired of it & I don't know what to do to make it stop. My friend told me about the car sensor to turn it off but I don't where it's at or anything about the sensor. so if anyone had to deal with that kind of situation please help cause it's annoying & kind of killing the battery also, so please help.

find someone with a VAG-COM in your area...and you can adjust the sensitivity of your alarm (interior motion sensor). See audiworld vag com forum to help you find someone. Do a search on AW too.

RE: Alarm goes off at all time
Question, even though this thread is old as hell, i've searched here and some other places, Is this issue big enough to be fixed by the dealerships for free? or am i gonna have to pay for it myself to get it fixed.

RE: Alarm goes off at all time
I had the same problem in my 98 A4. For a quick fix you can unplug the horn from the trunk. If you pull out the trunk liner on the driver's side you will see the alarm horn mounted there. Simply unplug it and the beeping will go away.
