Exclamation AMI iPhone/iPod Initialization Problem

Hey all,

I have had my 2009 Audi A4 (B8, Premium Plus Package, Standard speaker system, and without the navigation package) for about 2 and a 1/2 months. Until today, I have experienced nothing but the best with the Audi Music Interface's (AMI) iPod/iPhone integration. However, just now I have begun to experience a quite an annoying problem.
This issue of mine occurs just when the car is started up with an iPod or iPhone already attached and when an iPhone/iPod is attached once the car is on. Basically what happens is when the device is attached the system stalls on the initialization screen (on which it would normally remain only for a few seconds at most).
The screen the AMI system gets stuck on includes this message:

"
Note

Audi Music Interface:
The device is being initialized.
Please wait...
"

Already, in my attempts to correct the issue, I have turned the car off and on, reset the system settings, done a soft reset of the attached device, tested the issue with another iPod and iPhone, and disconnected and reconnected the iPod/iPhone interface cable.

Thank you in advance,

Sladde

I am having the exact same issue, only mine worked for only 4 days and went into this mode. I asked the dealer if I had the correct cable and they assured me I did.
