Default Avic Z3 Install

I just had an Pioneer Avic Z3 with all the trimmings installed in my 2006 A4. I had it done by SammSound in West Caldwell, NJ - total pros. They did the full boat install, fully integrated everything. Voice control, Bluetooth, iPod, Sirius, Rear View Camera and uses the stock steering wheel controls. Previously my mode and function buttons did nothing! The install is immaculate.

Beyond all that, the Z3 is pretty damned amazing. The navigation system is great, split screen, way detailed and intuitive. 7 inch LCD touchscreen with fantastic resolution. The iPod controller is a bit slow for my taste but being able to access everything on the iPod is a huge plus after having the stock Audi iPod controller where you can only listen to the first 5 playlists and then a sort of random shuffle of songs from the iPod. Was better than nothing but pretty bunk for an Audi. Sirius works great. The unit has a blinding array of audio settings if you want to tweak away. Voice control works - a bit clumsy but certainly works. A big gripe I have with the voice control for telephone is that you need to press a button on screen to actually initiate a call after having navigated by voice to the contact you want to call.

Overall the unit is solid, completely comprehensive and sounds great.
