hi i have a 2000 A6 2.7t i am not sure what kind of in dash player to get i want one that will not only have the best bang for the buck but one that will look good in place of the bose stock HU thanks in advance

 

plenty of indashes out there to choose from the "best" is all a personal preference. check out all the major brandname websites and pick one with the features you want and a look you like. Some companies to check out would include Alpine, Eclipse, Pioneer, Kenwood, Clarion list goes on but those are the biggest names. Personally my favorite of the ones ive dealt with is the Alpine Iva-d310 packed with features scrreen seemed to have the best resolution of those ive seen and who doesnt like a responsive touch screen.

 

Well even with personal preference. Im still going to tell you that the best indash dvd out there is the Pioneer Z-1. There really isnt anything in the same realm as it right outta the box. There is some you can upgrade to be as good but the Z-1 is the total package.

 

As Worlddre says check out the brand names, I went for one of those Hong Kong specials, got it off eBay, not recommened!

You only get what you pay for so I learned my lesson there.

Had it in my Golf before I got my Audi, but just had to sell the thing as I wasn't gonna put that piece of junk in my A4

 

I have an audi 2003 A4 3.0 and i just went to tweeter and put in the Pioneer avic-z1 it is amazing dvd navigation it is awesome I love it and have no compliants. It is a little bit more pricey but if you want to go for the extra bucks its a great choice. Good luck looking for one.

 

just one question wycoff22 or anyone else how much did u pay for the installation at tweeter?

 

If they charge you more than $300 they are ripping you off.

One more quick question if i ordered the dvd player on ebay were would i get it installed ? could i still have it installed at best buy or tweeter?
