Check out the Alpine IVA-W200 just had one installed by my local Alpine Shop (SR Audio- I like to use small specailty shops) They were great and the system is nice I am just waiting for the blackbird portable nav dock so it runs thru the radio the whole setup was 1800 including the nav and dock.

A cheaper option would be the Panasonic cq-VD7003u. I currently have it installed in my car. you can check my homepage for pics of install. I just grounded the ebrake wire and i can watch dvd's while driving. hehehe.

I have the same year and model car as you and I have the new JVC EXAD double din unit in. It doesn't have the navigation but has the dvd capabilities and if you have screen in the headrest it comes with a dualzone feature so they can watch and hear movies in the back with headphones while you listen to music in the front. this thing sounds great on a movie with the DTS decoder. awesome picture and sound

well ...
I was going pick up my Kenwood KVT-717DVD when of othe the guys told me that someone from the staff sold it on me ( this is after i walk in and trow $500 down on it). so im pissed and ask for daren ( owner ) after a small chat he hooks me up with the model up from it which is the KVT-817DVD, and for the same price as he was going to give me the 717 ($1100) and he also informed me of this new "incentive" that kenwood just released for the month of september is that theres a certain amount of rebate that you get for each component purchased.
i was looking at their excelon amps and after a lil math i just realized that if i buy the HU, and both amps i get a $450 rebate in the mail
that means that the 4 chan kenwood will be for free
this is goin on in windsor, ontario ... not sure if any other kenwood dealers are participating at this time
GL

EDIT the difference between the 2 units is the DSP and Dolby digital decoding built rigth into the hide-away brain which is not even mentioned on the manufacturers website

i got a different HU (because i dont have the trim for the panasonic) I do miss the panasonic. The Avic - N1 needs to have the ACC wire to an actual 12v switched source. With the panasonic you can just join the constant and the 12v switched wires. I like to be able to turn the deck and the amp off when the car is running. (cant do that with the avic)

Got the DVD player in

was a lot of freakin work.. but its in.

I ran new speaker wires to all doors ( close to 85ft. - 16Ga. ) and also this time around got the 4Ga kit in, but with my plans and after a lil bit of though i might have to upgrade to 0/1 Ga
but its ok for now.
next items on the list will be the 4Chan Amp and the front speakers ( JL )
BTW...
the Metra trim kit sux ***** and dont fit worth of ****... had to sand down about 1/8" height wise and about 3/16's width wise as well
also on a side note... kenwood has nice long speaker wires and fiberoptic and even the control cable had enough length to mount the brain in the trunk while routing the cables down the side of the car and still have plenty left over.

Overall i am very pleased with the product and will post pics probably tomorow afternoon

If I were you I would go with a double din player instead of the flip outs. For double din there are really only two high quality players, Alpine and Kenwood Excelon. I have the Excelon and I love it, very slick but sorry no pics.

i would have to go with either trhe panasonic or the alpine piece. for ease of use and bang for your buck pricing nothing is better. not to mention the *** ons. you can do blue tooth, ipod and sat radio with both of these pieces. however the panasonic does run them all much better and more seamless than anything else.
